We investigated how inositol supplementation could counteract heart issues caused by lithium in mice. Our study involved four groups of mice to explore the varying effects of inositol. One group received lithium alone, another received lithium followed by inositol, a third group had both lithium and inositol from the start, and a control group had no treatment at all.

The results were promising. We found that inositol had a protective effect against the heart damage typically associated with lithium. Specifically, it helped improve heart function and reduced susceptibility to arrhythmias—irregular heartbeats. We also noted that inositol seemed to restore healthy levels of certain proteins crucial for heart health, helping to reduce cell enlargement and stress associated with hypertrophy.

Interestingly, the benefits of inositol were evident regardless of whether it was given alongside lithium or afterward as a treatment. These findings suggest that inositol could be a valuable addition to therapy for those facing lithium-induced cardiac issues, offering a potential pathway to better heart health.

ITPP improves heart function in PH
We investigated the effects of myo-inositol trispyrophosphate (ITPP) on rats with pulmonary hypertension (PH), a condition that often leads to serious heart issues. To do this, we injected some rats with monocrotaline to induce PH and treated others with a placebo. For five weeks, we closely monitored their heart function using echocardiograms and other advanced techniques.

Our findings revealed that ITPP significantly reduced mortality linked to PH. While it didn't change the increasing resistance in the pulmonary vessels, ITPP importantly alleviated hypoxia within the right ventricle (RV), which is crucial for maintaining heart function. This reduction in RV hypoxia not only improved heart performance but also decreased stress on the heart’s structure.

Furthermore, we noticed that ITPP appeared to inhibit an increase in a specific protein associated with low oxygen levels, though it didn't affect the density of blood vessels in the RV. Overall, this suggests that enhancing oxygen delivery with ITPP could provide a crucial therapeutic avenue for improving heart health in patients suffering from pulmonary hypertension.

Desperately trying to restore my menstrual cycle for three years, doctors only prescribed hormones. Finally, a gynaecologist diagnosed me with polycystic ovarian syndrome and recommended Inositol—two capsules in the morning and evening on an empty stomach. I also took fish oil, vitamin E, and evening primrose oil. After seven weeks, I experienced a miracle!

I discovered inositol after my gynecologist recommended it to address cycle irregularities caused by hormonal treatments. Within a month of increased dosage, menstruation returned without hormonal intervention. My skin improved, and my hair thickened. After six months, doctors confirmed the absence of polycystic disease, with my cycle stabilising. I currently take 2000 mg daily.

This product works! As someone with polycystic disease, I've struggled with irregular periods for two years. Following my doctor's advice, I consumed 2 grams daily, and by the sixth week, my period finally arrived! Additionally, I noticed a decrease in mood swings and hair loss. I didn't experience any side effects and took it alongside vitamin D and Omega-3. This truly effective product would benefit from larger capsules for convenience.

Prompt period returns

I was diagnosed with PCOS due to irregular menstruation. Various treatments, including Chinese medicine, failed to restore my period until I tried inositol. After taking one tablet in the morning and evening, my period returned within a week. I was pleasantly surprised by the prompt effect. I plan to continue its use as it appears beneficial for diet-related illnesses. The sole drawback is the size of the tablet, which is somewhat difficult to swallow.

Since I started taking 2 tablets with folic acid at bedtime, my cycle has stabilised to 29-31 days, which is ideal for me! Ovulation has improved, and I recommend it to anyone with similar cycle issues and polycystic disease.

Inositol is an effective remedy for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Research indicates that it may lower triglyceride and cholesterol levels without affecting HDL cholesterol in metabolic disease patients. Personally, I take two capsules at night for improved sleep quality, and I find I sleep better and feel more rested in less time. I hope this review helps; please rate it as useful.
